  • Biennale de Lyon Lyon is famous for its gastronomy and its medieval town (Vieux Lyon) but also for La Biennale de Lyon. If you like dance and art, check this site, this is all what is about. In 2000, will take place the celebration of the 9th Dance Biennal and Contemporary Art Biennal.
  • Connectik Café Connectik Café is an internet café/pub located in the heart of Lyon, quai Saint Antoine along the Soane river, a nice bar in a nice location.. Open Mondays through Saturdays from 11am till 7pm, hourly rate approximately $15.
  • Gallo Roman Museum We could not find the official site of the Gallo Roman Museum located in Lyon. It would be unfare though not to mention it our pages so here the best we found. A magnificent museum by the way..

  • Maison de la Danse As the names tells, it is the house where dance takes place. Please remain seated, they dance and you watch them dancing. A lot of practical information and all in English.
  • Musee de l'Imprimerie/ Print Shop Museum The museum features an important collection of early French and Lyon region books as well as a large selection of printing techniques, wood blocks, copper engravings..from all times. The museum is located in downtown lyon, Presqu'ile area, in the second district. Workshops are also available for those who like hands-on experiences.
  • Musee des Arts Decoratifs Musee des Arts Decoratifs offers you the opportunity to visit a French XVIII C. house with its original furniture. The Museum is located in downtown Lyon, close to Avenue de Victor Hugo (metro station: Victor Hugo, Ampere) and next to the Fabrics Museum. You will be impressed by the the quality of the furnitures displayed: dressers, armchairs, clocks, crockery.. Open daily, except Mondays, from 10 am till 5.30 pm (closed during lunch time).
  • Musee des Tissus Museum of tissues?,..pardon but "tissus" in France means fabrics or textiles.. And in Lyon, "tissus" most often means silk.. If you are in the textile industry or just like nice fabrics, it is worth stoping by the "Musee des Tissus". The museum is located rue de la Charite, in the city center of Lyon, "presqu'ile" area, in a 18th C building..
  • Museum of Lyon Fiiremen This musuem dedicated to firemen is probably the largest one in France and Europe. Located in a two-story building in not so much touristical district of Lyon (La Duchere, West bank of the Saone River), it really worth visiting. You will see equipment dating back to the beginning of the century.
  • Opera de Lyon We all know that the Opera de Lyon costed a lot of money to renovate..what about their site ? Just kidding. The Opera de Lyon is located behing Lyon city hall, place de la Comedie and deserves a stop. If you happen to be visiting the Opera around lunch time, we strongly suggest you grab a bite at Restaurant de l'Opera located on the second or third floor, you will enjoy good food and very nice view..Site in French !?
  • Villa des Freres Lumieres This is litteraly a must in its category "Sight & Sounds". Yes, my friends, cinema was invented in Lyon by two brothers "Les Freres Lumieres". Their villa is open to the public and you will learn about their fascinating story and watch the first movie ever produced..
