- Aguila de Osa Inn Located on Drake Bay, all rooms have a view of Drake Bay, and private bath. Priced as a 4 star, but appears to be worth it.
- Almonds & Corals Geo Expediciones Located in the lush forest of Gandaco Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, you are in tents that are set on stilts above the forest. Tents are with beds, tables, couches and there is a shower cabin, but most importantly, they are mosquito protected. Prices are moderate.
- Apart-Hotel Tamarindo This small family owned hotel that overlooks Tamarindo Bay, can offer over 40 different rooms and suites. All with private baths, and many with ocean fron views. Eco adventure, with lots of jungle safaris and estuary trips. Priced well. Good site.
- Bosque del Cabo Rainforest Lodge Located on Osa's Peninsula where the Golfito Dulce and the Pacific Ocean meet, is the lodge with 8 thatched-roof bungalows or a house to choose from. All bungalows with private baths. This is a great site. Priced moderately for all that you get.

- Delphin Amor Eco Lodge In Drake Bay, also the home of the Drake Bay Catacean Foundation, researching dolphins and whales. Per National Geographic Drake Bay is the most biologically intense area in Costa Rica. Cabinas available with shared bathroom. Great and moderate prices.
- Diuwak Hotel Costa Rica This site is in spanish. All rooms and bungalows with private bathrooms and some with private terraces. Located 3 hours from San Jose in Dominical, a lush uncut natural location.
- Drake Bay Wilderness Resort In the richest and largest virgin forest of Costa Rica is the oldest and largest resort, on the Osa Peninsula. Over 20 charming cabins all with private baths and views of mountains and forest. Some activities are night fishing, scuba diving and horseback riding. For the ecotourist.
- Harbor Reef Lodge Located on Playa de Nosara, about a 7 hour drive from San Jose, 3 minute walk to the white sand beach. All one bedroom suites with a/c and private baths. Prices are moderate.
- Hotel Finca Valverde Located in the lush forest and atop the hills of Monteverde, this small still family owned hotel offers 5 cabins and 8 standard rooms, all with private baths and balconies. The hotel is on the family coffee plantation and is one of the oldest in Costa Rica. The restaurant will fix you a great meal of your choice. There are over 100 species of birds and mammals here. Well priced.
- La Carolina Lodge Located 1.5 hour drive from the Liberia Airport and 3.5 hour drive from the San Jose Airport. This ranch style house can sleep 14 comfortably, with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Meals are served on a wood stove. Rustic and nestled deep in the forest on over 165 private acres. Priced moderately.

- Selva Bananito Lodge In a very remote area deep in the forest, you can arrive here 4 hours from San Jose. They offer 3 day/2 night packages that include lodging, meals and transportation. Rainforest study programs, and many other opportunities to learn about the eco tourism and special biological projects. This site is very detailed oriented. Priced well.
- Star Mountain Eco Located on the Peninsula Nicoyo,in the fishing village of Mal Pais. Rates are good, gourmet dining and many activities.
- Sunrise Hotel Located in the archipelago in San Andres, with 170 rooms overlooking the sea.
- Vista Verde Resort Located at the base of Lake Arenal, one of the most primitive areas in Monteverde. Restaurant and bar, and many activities. Moderately priced.
